The Most Magical Place on Earth

Studio Life »

Napa Valley is one of the most magical places on earth, where the terrain and weather produce some of the best wines out there. It’s also home to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and it seems like everyone that lives and works there has a passion for food and wine. I always look forward to visiting and got the chance to go again recently when the National Pork Board invited me to their Pork Summit for the third year in a row.

WH? Magazine »

Welcome to our late winter issue of Who's Hungry? Magazine! These are the last days of winter. Most days the skies
are grey and every time it warms up, before you know it, it’s frigid again. Cabin fever creeps up on us and we feel trapped indoors. As we wait out the next couple of months for spring, it’s the perfect time to turn “cooped up” into “cozying up” with enjoyable simple things like playing Yahtzee or cooking for others.

Egg in a Basket

Recipes »

Egg in a Basket is one of the easiest and most delicious egg-centric breakfasts out there--and it takes just 5 minutes to make. Start with a thick slice of your favorite bread, carve out a small hole, place over a hot buttered skillet and crack an egg into the center! Cook over medium heat until the egg is set and the toast is crisp and golden. Breakfast is served.

Top Chef and Food & Wine’s Gail Simmons was honorary host.

Bavette's Bar & Boeuf

Restaurant Project »

The minute you step into Bavette’s Bar & Boeuf, the latest project from restaurateur Brendan Sodikoff (Gilt Bar, Maude’s Liquor Bar, Au Cheval), you feel as though you may have accidentally wandered onto the set of a Mad Men episode. Everything about the place—from the red leather booths to the antiqued mirrors to the flickering candlelight—practically drips with sultry, old-fashioned glamour. If Marilyn Monroe were a restaurant, I’m pretty sure this is what it would look like.
